ADULT CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
Adult offerings for Christian formation, renewal and learning come in a variety of ways.
Members of the parish are asked to offer Sunday classes along with the rector. Seminary interns and students from Vanderbilt Divinity School offer their time to teach classes as well. The topics vary from traditional church and theological disciplines to religious and ethical reflections on current issues.
An Inquirer’s Class is offered each year. The class is for those seeking to be confirmed. It is also for people already confirmed but wanting revisit the teachings, practice and faith given by God in the Episcopal (Anglican) tradition. The class is also used by people discerning membership in the Episcopal Church.
During the seasons of Advent and Lent an adult group is frequently held in preparation for the celebration of Christmas and Easter respectively.
