St. Ann’s has a joint youth program with St. Augustine’s Chapel, with St. Ann’s leading and hosting the group. Our goal is work together to build community and reflect God’s kingdom in the world.

Regular meeting time is 5 p.m. on Sunday night, September-May, with monthly fun get-togethers during the summer.

Youth from sixth grade through 12th gather each Sunday for games, prayer, discussion, fun, and service. Our usual schedule is to have a guest speaker once a month, an activity night, a discussion night and a service project.

We hold at least one lock-in/retreat each year and sometimes have both a fall and spring retreat.

Our annual fundraiser is Silent Sunday, when the youth take pledges and remain Silent for four hours. We have also parked cars for concerts and are considering a yard sale.

The Youth Group goes on a summer mission trip each year. Past trips have included cleaning up hurricane damage in Mississippi, the Heifer Project, and the Kentucky Small Farms Project.

Last summer, the youth group volunteered together at Hope Exchange, the summer program run by St. Ann’s and several youth have committed to volunteering again this summer.

The youth group leader is Kristin Wells. Please e-mail or telephone her if you have questions or would like to help with youth programs.
