Still on the corner
The rebuilt front entrance of St. Ann's. A labyrinth and meditation garden cover the foundations of the former nave.Nearly a year after the groundbreaking, on Christmas Eve 2000, St. Ann's returned to its renovated space, celebrating Midnight Mass at home.
Today St. Ann’s maintains a commitment to the struggle for social justice and inclusion as well as a commitment to fostering spiritual growth. The congregation gathers for worship in Martin Hall, which has incorporated into its new design some of the historic pieces that survived the destruction of the old building.
The vestry has also purchased undeveloped property next to the church building. While we consider how to use that space to serve the congregation and the larger neighborhood, we are paying the note by ministering to Titan’s fans by renting parking spaces on game days.
We also have an additional focus on children in the neighborhood with our East Nashville Hope Exchange summer program.
St. Ann’s vision can be distilled into four words: love, give, serve and grow.
